I know it's not terribly important, but I stopped getting the icons on my runs in November I noticed. What did I do to screw it up?

You picked a weather station that doesn't provide condition data. I have fixed it.

You can now set your weather station on a per-run basis on the /ru page. Click on the weather station in the table below the run image. Still not quite done. I want to add a weather station lookup mechanism and clean up a few edges, but you can use it to fix the weather station for your runs now.

Yes, thanks. Much better.

I now think the Ctrl+/Ctrl- was a furphy. It just depended on whether I had the icons or not.

OK. It just got more weird: http://andrewtrevor-jones.com/slowgeekgraphs.png

Most of the graphs are now the correct size, but the first one is scaled up a bit. There are others like that. I have done a shift refresh. It appears to be all the graphs that don't have weather icons on them. If they have a weather icon they are scaled correctly. If there isn't, they are larger.

Bingo. I worked it out. Images that have the weather icon are 660x260px. Images that don't are 650x250px. The source forces the image to 660x260px, so those without icons get scaled up slightly.

The weird thing is that now I'm back on my large LCD, the graphics look blurred again. It appears that it is the profile page that is doing the scaling, because Ctrl+ or Ctrl- can't fix it.

If I load the direct image (http://img.slowgeek.com/?size=1&n=0&lw=1&unit=km&id=1416669565&mtime=1265678975 ) it looks right.

On my profile page (http://slowgeek.com/pr/ATJ777) there's no way I can make the image the same size as the direct image. No matter what I do with Ctrl+ or Ctrl-, image info still has this listed as the dimensions: 650px × 250px (scaled to 660px × 260px) even though the direct image says it is 660px x 260px. But if I overlay the direct image over the one on the profile page, it is always either higher and wider or shorter and narrower, even if I only zoom by one step.

I tried Ctrl 0 which is meant to reset zoom and it is still blurred - the image is larger than it is supposed to be.

Right, but your browser remembers that setting on a per-site basis. Try it. Hit Ctrl-+ then close that tab. Open a new tab, browse somewhere else, then come back to Slowgeek, or whatever site you did the Ctrl-+ on and you will see that it is still bigger than normal.

ATJ777, probably at some point you did a ctrl "+" and have been using enlarged graphics on all the web pages you browse.

I was not using any specific browser zoom feature. Using the direct link to the graph I was able to use Ctrl+minus to shrink everything until the image on my profile page was the same size. Now it looks OK. I wonder how it got out.

It looks fine now.

Did you use some sort of browser zoom feature there? That screen shot shows an image that is larger than the image I am generating. The direct link to that graph is:

http://img.slowgeek.com/?size=1&n=0&lw=1&unit=km&id=1416669565&mtime=1265678975

There is a bit of anti-aliasing going on to make the text appear smooth, and yes, if you zoom in on the anti-aliasing then that starts to fall apart. Anti-aliasing is a bit of a visual trick that isn't meant to be magnified.

OK, the overlapping has now gone. The text still looks blurred, though.

I have attached a screen shot. The text above the graph is nice and clear but the text in the graph looks like it has leaked or something.

Damn, I can't upload the file. Here's a link: http://andrewtrevor-jones.com/slowgeekgraph.png

Yeah, it is probably a hate-it or love-it sort of thing. I was trying to get a bit more colour and life into the graphs and the weather graphics seemed like the easiest way to do that. I even find myself looking for weird conditions to run in just to get a graph with the weather graphic to match. The "Windy" graphic is really nice.

G'day. In the last week or so the weather icons on runs (Sunny, Cloudy, etc.) are way bigger than they used to be. They are huge! Additionally, when looking at the summary page the text on and around the graphs appears blurred - it hurts my eyes to read it for any length of time. The text "cal" overlaps with my location.

I thought this happened when I went to Firefox 3.6, but I just checked with IE 6.0 and on Firefox 3.5.7.
