    Hey rlerdorf,
I have been using the online csv files of people's runs to track their mileage in challenges with a spreadsheet. However, its seems that the pages no longer allow the spreadsheet to get the data. The only way to access the pages is by a browser. Is there any way you can change it back? Thanks

I didn't change anything. If you can see the csv in your browser, your spreadsheet should be able to see it too.

Is http://slowgeek.com/csv/1423872306 not working, for example? What is the error?

When I try to put in that link, I get this error: "Problem in configuring Webdata" I talked to the admin of the online spreadsheet (zoho.com if you want to know) and this is what they said:

"In our testing we found that the url you have given is accessible only from browser and the connection gets timed out when we fetch the url from our code (the reason might be the port is not opened in the slowgeek.com server for external connection, may be a firewall configuration of the server)."

I figured something had changed because it used to work just fine. Thanks

That answer makes no sense to me. It has never been available over any port other than 80 (the http port) and port 443 (the https port) so I have no idea what they mean. These are both external ports obviously, since you don't run your browser on my server, so the data is very much externally accessible. Could you ask them to contact me - [email protected] - and I can try to work out what they are doing and which ip they are coming from. It may be that I blocked them for hitting my server too hard. I have had to block a few ips that sent thousands of requests in a very short period of time.

So, it turns out that I have indeed blocked them. Their site was hammering me with requests for these csv files. I'll re-enable them when they get better at caching their requests so they don't request the same .csv file multiple times in the same minute.

I think I figured out what the problem was... When I was setting things up on the spreadsheet, I had accidentally put in several external data links because of the way I was configuring it. And I then forgot to delete the old ones. This would produce the effect that you are talking about... If you could unblock the ip for a little bit, then I could test out my theory by deleting the old data links.
